Parashat Terumah — Exodus 25

Parashat Terumah — Exodus 25

For ADONAI to dwell among us, there must be an offering from our heart, just like mentioned in the Torah “Tell Bnei-Yisrael to take up an offering for Me. From anyone whose heart compels him you are to take My offering.” – Exodus 25:2.

Our lives are our offering to ADONAI, how do we love and treat others. The word “ahava” (אהבה) in Hebrew means “to do good on behalf of”. It’s not related to our feelings, but an executive decision to do good. It’s a conscious decision to do what’s right and commanded in the Torah.

“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper so He may be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him. You know Him, because He abides with you and will be in you.” — John 14:15-17
