On March 31, 1995, a phenomenon was born in Madison Square Garden, New York City. It was Wrestle Mania. Over one million fans viewed via pay-per-view, and all the top names competed – Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and so on.

I am always amused with wrestling. My three brothers and I used to watch it, but back in my kiddie days, wrestling was confined to back-lot grade B production studios, and there was always one little ole lady screaming her heart out for the brutes. The pre-fight show always was comedy deluxe, with each competitor baring his arms, giving the meanest look ever to his competitor. Now we have WWE. My, how we have changed.

Did you know that Our God is the Champ of the WWE? And pictures of Him bearing His arm are all through Scripture? I don’t choose to anthropomorphize God (attributing body parts to Him), yet Scripture gives us many pictures of His arm, His Zeroah. The word ‘arm’ in Hebrew is ze-ro-ah, and it can also be described as strength, power, help, or might. It is also described as the foreleg of an animal (Numbers 6:19). The shank bone on the Passover plate is also known as the zeroah, representing the ancient Passover sacrifice.

We read of God’s Zeroah – Ex 6:6
“I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.”

Deut. 4:34-35
“Or has a god tried to go to take for himself a nation from within another nation by trials, by signs and wonders and by war and by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm and by great terrors, as the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? To you it was shown that you might know that the LORD, He is God; there is no other besides Him.”

Deut. 26:7-8
“Then we cried to the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice and saw our affliction and our toil and our oppression; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror and with signs and wonders”.

Ps 98:1
“O Sing to the LORD a new song,
For He has done wonderful things,
His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him.”

Isa 40:11
“Like a shepherd He will tend His flock,
In His arm, He will gather the lambs,
And carry them in His bosom;
He will gently lead the nursing ewes.
Our God is El Elyon, God Most High, Adonai Ts-va’ot – Lord of Armies, Lord of Hosts. May we take shame at our unbelief, our doubts, and our worries. God does take note of our enemies.”

Because you are His child, your enemies are His enemies. He fights for you. As a fighter (like Andre the Giant) bares his arm to fight unencumbered, so does the LORD fight for you. Only those who know Him recognize His working power in their lives.

Is there anything too hard for the LORD?

‘And looking upon them Jesus said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matt. 19:26

‘Looking upon them, Yeshua said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
Mark 10:27

“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37

But He said, “The things impossible with men are possible with God.”
Luke 18:27

“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

Isaiah’s words serve to encourage us now.
“The LORD has bared His holy arm
In the sight of all the nations,
That all the ends of the earth may see
The salvation of our Elohim.”

Isaiah 52:10
